Why whole food supplements?

So there are two categories for supplements out there. There are synthetic, and whole food.

Synthetic supplements thinks that we have figured everything out that the body needs and can create it in a laboratory. When you look at the Supplement Facts of a synthetic vitamin you will see a lot of chemical names.

Whole Food supplements follow the idea that maybe we don't know everything yet. They take food and condense it down into a pill or capsule. This leaves the nutrients that we don't yet know what they do still in the supplement to do their job. When you look at the Supplement Facts (see picture below) it will list all sorts of foods that you can recognize. For example you will find carrot root, pea vine, and organic alfalfa.
